I am proud of the inoa Hawai‘i given to me by my maternal grandmother. Yet, I resisted the common practice of naming my consulting enterprise after myself because it is not about me and the practice of wayfinding is an active, on-going process rather than a static state. The name needed to be a verb rather than a noun.
Our deliverable is not my prescriptions, rather the intent is to engage individuals and enterprises in settings framed by critical inquiry designed to develop and test their own strategies. That is the key to self-determination.
